Welcome to our information page. Here you'll find all the up-to-date information you'll need to help make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible including things to entertain children of all ages - and many things for the grown ups too . We'll also keep you up to date on the latest information regarding our fabulous and popular swimming pool as well as facilities for people with limited mobility, visual or hearing impairment.
The range of animals we have on the farm varies according to the time of year. There are always several cows, calves, chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, rabbits and geese. Between the months of April and October we usually have young pigs running in the woodland and around April/May we normally have newborn lambs; some suckling their mothers and others being bottle fed.
The animals and hens are used to people and are very child friendly. All guests are welcome to help feed the stock in the mornings at 8.30am and at dusk – it usually takes about 30 minutes. We also collect the eggs from our 100 free range hens at 10.30am each morning and again guests are more than welcome to take part in this activity; collecting and then grading the eggs also takes about half an hour.
Enjoy our superb, spacious, heated indoor swimming pool with the 'Tylo' sauna and steam rooms. The fully tiled pool measures 12.5m in length and is 6.5m wide; it is 1m deep at the shallow end and 1.4m at the deep end.
The pool has full climate control, the pool hall is normally heated to 32 degrees and the water temperature is a constant 31 degrees. A modern filtration system is used, this is highly effective yet uses very low levels of chlorine and it ensures that the pool is very clean at all times. Showers and changing rooms are available for all guests.
The pool has been designed for unsupervised use - guests swim at their own risk and we ask each guest to carefully read the information provided about how to use the pool, sauna and steam room. The pool has been built to the highest specifications for your enjoyment.
The facilities are open 9am to 9pm and a daily, flexible bookings system ensures that you will have use of the pool, sauna and steam room for a 75 minute period each day. The simple booking system ensures that the pool never gets crowded (more often than not you will have it to yourselves) and is always in pristine condition - see our glowing guest reviews.
The Holme Valley is extremely well served for eating out with a fantastic choice to suit every taste from cosy tea rooms and simple pub grub to a taste of the exotic and award winning fine dining.
